About this course

This pathway starts with interpreting images of teeth and surrounding structures, then moves to lesion description, imaging errors and modality selection. Radiation physics and safety provide the background for understanding imaging decisions.

Topics include: Radiographic anatomy, caries and periodontal tissues; Description of jaw lesions, cysts and tumours; Sinus, joint and salivary gland imaging; Intraoral and panoramic techniques; CBCT, artefacts and cross-sectional imaging; Radiation protection, image prescription and quality assurance.
